Manufacturing Technician

Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our small team based on the outskirts of Sheffield. This role involves hands-on work within manufacturing environment, ensuring the efficient machining, fabrication, assembly, testing and maintenance of our products. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable using various hand and machine tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and perform a key role within the company.

Duties

• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, whilst adhering to safety procedures
• Produce components accurately following technical drawings and specifications
• Assemble and test finished products to a suitable quality standard
• Assist with the organisation and management of warehouse stock, including parts and raw materials
• Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment to identify issues and escalate as necessary
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and machinery, safely and effectively
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions accurately
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Good physical condition, capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous
• A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities

Pay: £28,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
