Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Marina Attendant to join our team. This role is essential to the daily operations of the marina and involves assisting boaters, maintaining a clean and safe waterfront environment, and supporting the Dockmaster with routine marina tasks. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist boaters with docking and undocking
• Maintain cleanliness of docks and marina grounds through daily upkeep
• Monitor marina activity to ensure safety and security
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and answer boater inquiries
• Assist with boat launches, haul-outs, and securing vessels
• Adjust boat lifts, secure boats in wet slips, and perform dock-related tasks as directed
• Empty trash and clean garbage receptacles
• Help implement storm preparation and boat-securing procedures
• Perform basic maintenance on docks and marina equipment
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to marina management

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Basic knowledge of lines and knots (or willingness to learn)
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Previous dockhand or marina experience is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with boating safety and regulations is a plus
• Availability for weekends, special projects, or emergency situations

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift, pull lines, and move around docks safely

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week

Work Location: In person
