Marine Drafter – Ship & Offshore Structures

Job Summary

We are looking for a Marine Drafter with experience in shipbuilding, offshore structures, and structural fabrication. The candidate should be capable of preparing accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Tekla Structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of ships and offshore structures.
• Develop structural fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and layouts.
• Convert engineering concepts and sketches into detailed technical drawings.
• Prepare structural components and fabrication details for manufacturing and installation.
• Revise drawings according to engineering changes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design engineers, naval architects, and fabrication teams.
• Verify dimensions, measurements, and drawing accuracy.
• Follow project specifications and applicable marine and structural standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Civil, Marine,
• Minimum 1 year of shipyard or shipbuilding experience.
• Minimum 1 year of design experience in ship structures, offshore structures, or structural fabrication.
• Practical experience in structural fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Autodesk Inventor, Rhino 3D, and MicroStation. Knowledge of ShipConstructor and other marine design or 3D modelling software will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of structural detailing, fabrication processes, and engineering drawings.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in shipyard fabrication, ship structures, offshore structural projects, and production drawings will be preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,829.98 - ₹30,000.00 per month
