Marine Electrician: Vessel Repair & Yard Maintenance

Job Summary Core Group Resources is hiring a Marine Electrician. You'll repair electrical systems on towboats and barges and support maintenance of yard equipment. This role suits a versatile electrician who is comfortable moving between shipboard repair work and facility and utility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC electrical systems on towboats and barges
• Install and terminate marine cable, panels, lighting, and controls
• Maintain and repair yard equipment, cranes, shop machinery, and facility power
• Read electrical schematics and one-line drawings
• Test circuits and equipment with meters and megohmmeters
• Follow lockout/tagout and yard safety procedures

Requirements

• Experience as an electrician in a marine, shipyard, or industrial maintenance setting
• Able to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical faults
• Comfortable working in engine rooms, confined spaces, and outdoors
• Willing to work evening shift

Preferred Requirements

• Towboat or inland vessel electrical experience
• Industrial maintenance or utility electrical experience
• Journeyman license or equivalent training
