Behind every well-crewed vessel is a team that plans, coordinates, and keeps things running seamlessly from shore. As an Executive in the EPS Marine HR Planning team, you will play a central role in managing the manpower pipeline for our fleet, from forecasting crew requirements and coordinating with manning offices worldwide to supporting crew evaluations and handling day to day HR matters for ship staff. If you enjoy working in a fast paced, people focused environment where your decisions have a real and direct impact on vessel operations, this is a position worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and forecast manpower requirements in coordination with the Manager and Assistant Manager, Marine HR.
- Plan, source, and coordinate the recruitment of ship staff to meet fleet manning requirements, including processing applications for assigned ranks.
- Coordinate with EPS-appointed manning offices worldwide to ensure compliance with company policies, STCW 95 requirements, and crew qualification standards.
- Handle crew-related HR matters including crew evaluations, promotions, counselling, and NTBR cases.
- Monitor seafarer readiness with manning offices, manage unassigned ship staff, and finalise crew assignments in COMPAS.
- Ensure crew changes are carried out in a timely, cost-effective, and respectful manner.
- Follow up on LLP and pension requests for assigned ranks, coordinating with Manning offices and Crew Accounts for approvals and remittances.
- Review seniority data, identify manpower gaps, and prepare gap analysis and monthly reports as required.
- Provide timely responses to vessel queries and liaise with the Marine HR Manager on exceptions highlighted from crew evaluations.
- Calculate wages for take-over vessels and ensure Matrix compliance assignments are completed for the Tanker Fleet.
Requirements
- More than 3 to 4 years of working experience in a Marine HR portfolio (preferred).
- Good knowledge of STCW, MLC 2006, and related maritime regulations.
- Familiarity with crew management systems and payroll processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work across a multinational and professional environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Word and Excel.
