Overview

As a Marine Insulator, you’ll install and finish insulation on marine systems and structures. You’ll use hand and power tools, read blueprints and technical drawings, and follow site safety protocols. Your impact: Properly installed insulation helps protect equipment and supports safe, reliable vessel operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, fit, and secure insulation on marine piping, equipment, and structural surfaces; follow blueprint specifications and schematics.
• Measure and cut materials using basic math, hand tools, and power tools; apply power tool safety practices.
• Fabricate and finish insulation coverings, including caulking and plastering, to meet project requirements.
• Communicate with clients and crew members about work progress, site needs, and installation details.
• Work safely at heights and on ladders, following site protocols while climbing and moving materials.

Qualifications

• Construction experience, construction site experience, mechanical knowledge, blueprint reading, and ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience installing building insulation or marine insulation; construction estimating is a plus.
• Familiarity with carpentry, frame carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall, roofing, stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, construction painting, airless paint spraying, or HVAC is helpful.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely and follow safety procedures on active job sites.
• MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN DBIDS

Pay: $24.00 per hour
