The company is currently seeking to enhance its dynamic team by recruiting a dedicated, high-calibre Marine Superintendent – Tsakos Conbulk Services (TCB) Ltd to join the workforce.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the company's Management System is fully implemented onboard the

vessels allocated to them;

• Providing assistance to the Masters and crewmembers of the company vessels as they

     require to operate their vessels to the standards required by the company and by

  international regulation;

• Working with all Company’s Departments in recommending amendments to the

      company procedures to better comply with industry requirements;

• Ensuring that the vessels for which they are responsible are ready for external

inspections at any time and attend and assist during such inspections where desirable;

• Carry out Marine Inspections, Internal ISM/ISPS/MLC Audits, Navigation Assessments

      and Cargo Operation Audits, Bunkering Audits, Mooring Audits to the fleet vessels;

• Follow up the findings as instructed by the DPA or the HSQ;
• Ensuring for the correct and timely follow up and closing out of all observations raised

   during external and internal inspections & audits and submit responses as applicable;

• Providing back-up in the case that another Marine Superintendent is not available to     deal with issues concerning his/hers vessels;
• Identifying training needs on board during ship visits and providing training as required;
• Ensuring that newly appointed Masters and Chief Officers have received the necessary

briefing and support for managing their vessel according to Company’s Management System;

• Monitor and promote the deck maintenance of the fleet vessels;
• Preparing vessel repair specifications in cooperation with the Fleet Technical Manager

Qualifications:

• Master’s Certificate of Competency (valid) with at least 3 years sea service in bulk, tanker or container vessels;
• Previous experience in Marine Dept of a ship management company in a similar position;
• Flexibility for frequent travelling;
• A very good command of written and spoken English language;
• Good communication and leadership skills;
• Ability to work efficiently as a team member;
• Good planning & Organizational skills;
• Adequate computing skills;
• Professional appearance & manners;
