What they need
- Diagnose and repair complex marine propulsion systems, ensuring peak operational efficiency and reliability.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of marine vessels, from small craft to large commercial ships.
- Conduct thorough inspections of hull integrity, rigging, and safety equipment, identifying and rectifying potential hazards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including navigation, communication, and power distribution networks.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possess an Associate's degree or vocational training in Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hold relevant certifications such as ABYC, NMEA, or specific engine manufacturer qualifications.
- Demonstrate 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marine engine repair and systems maintenance.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gasoline marine engines.
