MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are currently looking for an experienced and highly motivated Market Development Manager to lead local market development and business expansion in Indonesia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing market strategies and driving business opportunities, particularly in container terminal operations and the coal, bauxite, nickel, and other mineral sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the overall market planning and business development strategy for the Indonesian market.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the container terminal, coal, bauxite, nickel, and other mineral industries.
• Conduct market research and provide insights into market trends, competitors, customers, and business opportunities.
• Develop and execute market expansion strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Manage and coordinate the project tender process in the Indonesian market.
• Coordinate, review, and follow up on business contracts and project-related agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare professional market research reports, business presentations, and business proposals.
• Support management in evaluating potential projects and developing appropriate business strategies.
• Ensure business activities comply with local Indonesian regulations and business practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Indonesian citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field. Exceptional candidates may be considered regardless of major.
• Proven work experience in Marketing, Business Development, Market Development, or related fields.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Mandarin speaking ability is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Able to independently prepare and present market research reports, business presentations, and business proposals.
• Good understanding of the Indonesian business environment, local regulations, and business culture.
• Strong business communication, negotiation, client management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong execution ability, sense of responsibility, and ability to work under pressure.
• Honest, professional, highly responsible, and committed to maintaining business integrity.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to undertake business travel as required.
