Allison Transmission is seeking a commercially driven Market Development Manager to accelerate demand for Allison equipped vehicles across the Nordic and Baltic markets.
This is an indirect sales / market development position—not a traditional direct sales role. You will engage with decision makers in the fleets of end-users to support and create market demand, as well as with OEMs, dealerships, body builders and Allison channel partners to support business growth in the area.
Location: Norway OR Sweden
Key Responsibilities
Develop long-term relationships with fleets, end users, OEMs, dealers, distributors, and body builders
Promote Allison solutions and generate market demand through both pull (end user engagement) and push (local OEM/importer support) activities
Identify growth opportunities across the truck, municipal, refuse, construction, fire & emergency, and bus & coach sectors
Support product demonstrations, training sessions, events, and other market development initiatives
Capture market intelligence, maintain accurate CRM data, and deliver structured reporting
Operate independently while managing a large multi‑country territory
Travel throughout Norway, Sweden, and the broader Nordic & Baltic region
Requirements – Must
Experience in indirect sales / market development, particularly within B2B and commercial vehicle environments
Fluent English and willingness to travel extensively across the region
Ability to work autonomously, plan independently, and manage a broad geographic territory
Professional school, technical education, or university degree (any field)
Requirements – Preferred
Experience engaging with:
Fleets or fleet operators, especially in medium and heavy‑duty vehicle segments
Commercial, technical, service, or aftermarket roles within truck OEMs, OEM dealer networks, or commercial vehicle manufacturers
Body builders in relevant end‑user segments
Bus & coach industry
Familiarity with local OEM/importer networks in Northern Europe
CRM system experience and structured reporting habits
Why This Role Attracts the Right Talent
Work with a global leader in propulsion technology, respected worldwide for reliability and innovation
Take full ownership of a high‑impact regional role with autonomy in strategy and execution
Influence the adoption of Allison solutions among major fleets, OEMs, and commercial vehicle partners
Operate in a dynamic market with strong demand potential across multiple vocations
Engage deeply with customers, become their trusted advisor, and shape the future of commercial vehicle operations in the Nordic & Baltic region
