Market Risk Director

Duties

• Lead the design and execution of quantitative risk analysis models to assess exposure across various financial instruments and markets.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models utilizing data analytics tools, VBA, SQL, and other software to support risk measurement and forecasting.
• Conduct detailed data mining and data collection efforts to identify emerging market trends, anomalies, and potential threats to the organization’s financial health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective risk mitigation strategies, including fraud prevention and detection techniques.
• Monitor industry regulations related to banking and financial services, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and reporting requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports that communicate complex risk insights clearly to senior management and stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations with external partners or regulatory bodies on risk-related issues, ensuring favorable outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in banking or financial services with a focus on market risk management or related fields.
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, VBA, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis software.
• Deep understanding of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, credit analysis, and financial modeling techniques.Expertise in quantitative research methods including risk analysis, mathematical modeling, and statistical analysis.Knowledge of banking regulatory compliance standards and industry-specific financial regulations.Excellent communication skills with the ability to write detailed financial reports and present complex concepts clearly.Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing teams focused on risk management initiatives

Pay: $254,800.00 - $315,000.00 per year
