Job Description

To strengthen the team in Verrebroek, we are looking for a Marketing & Communication Officer.

In this role, you are a central communication partner for the organisation: you translate our day-to-day operations into clear and engaging communication for internal and external stakeholders. You help shape our brand identity, support employer branding initiatives, and manage communication projects end-to-end — from idea to execution and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and co-building the marketing & communication strategy and translating it into actionable communication plans

• Safeguarding and strengthening the company identity across all channels and touchpoints

• Bringing structure by contributing to processes and workflows for communication projects

• Partnering with HR on employer branding campaigns tailored to white- and blue-collar target groups

• Leading marketing and communication projects from concept to delivery, including follow-up and evaluation

• Proactively collecting "field stories" and translating them into strong copy and visual content for internal and external channels

• Ensuring smooth collaboration with colleagues in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as external partners, while tracking deadlines and deliverables closely

• Participating in weekly alignment meetings on priorities, progress and outcomes, with regular travel between Rotterdam and Verrebroek

Profile

• Master's degree in Communication, Marketing (or equivalent through relevant experience)

• Experience in a broad range of projects, both strategic and hands-on/operational

• Comfortable with graphic and content tools such as Canva and strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint); Adobe experience is a plus

• Able to use AI tools responsibly and interested in keeping up with communication and marketing trends

• Excellent writing skills: able to translate complex information into clear, accessible language; knowledge of SEO is considered important

• Creative, proactive and structured; able to keep overview and prioritize under pressure

• Works autonomously but thrives in a team environment; can delegate, set priorities and coach colleagues in a motivating way

• Languages: fluent Dutch and English; good knowledge of French and/or willingness to improve through training

• Willing to travel as needed to strengthen alignment between teams across Belgium and the Netherlands
