Marketing and Communications Assistant

About the role

As the Marketing & Communications Assistant, you will play a key operational role supporting the end-to-end planning and execution of 360° marketing initiatives across Varel Singapore and Grange Collective F&B concepts. Working directly with the Marketing Communications lead, you will provide critical administrative, digital, Public Relations, loyalty, and operational support in a fast-paced in-house environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the media database, press lists, and media clipping records
• Assist with logistics for media and KOL tastings and stays, including site visits
• Draft press releases, media invites, and pitching collaterals under guidance
• Assist in coordinating and executing marketing campaigns for hotel initiatives and Grange Collective F&B concepts
• Create engaging social media content; assist with enquiries, scheduling, and publishing across platforms
• Support content creation (photography, short-form video/reels, stories, captions) for digital channels
• Assist in updating digital assets across brand websites, online listings, digital screens, and printed collateral
• Support the administration of loyalty program initiatives, member communications, and promotional EDMs
• Handle daily department administration, including raising Purchase Orders (POs), processing monthly accruals, invoice submissions, vendor contracts, and tracking approvals
• Coordinate with internal hotel departments and external vendors

About you

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, or a related field
• Prior internship or working experience in marcom, graphics design, Public Relations, digital marketing, or hospitality is preferred
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content trends
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools or video editing is an advantage
• Basic photography and short-form video capture skills are a plus
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working independently while supporting different departments
• Positive, enthusiastic, and service-oriented attitude
• Flexibility to support marketing activities, events, and hotel/F&B activations when required
