Marketing & Communications Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing & Communications Specialist to 
take ownership of our marketing function and elevate the Cloudox brand across our key 
global markets. 

Role Overview 
As the Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing 
and executing marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, generate engagement, and 
support business growth across the UK, US, and South African markets. 
Your focus will span content marketing, digital campaigns, public relations, social media, 
thought leadership, and event management within the alternative investment and financial 
technology sectors. 

This is a strategic yet hands-on opportunity for a proactive marketing professional with 
experience in financial services, particularly within the hedge fund, asset management, 
private equity, or alternative investment industries. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Marketing Strategy & Execution

• Develop and execute targeted B2B marketing strategies for the hedge fund and 
  financial services sectors.
• Plan, manage, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, email, 
  events, and media platforms.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve 
  engagement and ROI.

Content & Thought Leadership

• Create high-quality content, including white papers, case studies, blog articles, 
  newsletters, client communications, and marketing collateral.
• Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to position Cloudox as a 
  recognised thought leader within the industry.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives. 
  Social Media & Digital Marketing
• Manage and grow Cloudox's presence across LinkedIn and other relevant industry 
  platforms.
• Develop social media content calendars and execute both organic and paid 
  campaigns.
• Monitor analytics, track performance metrics, and continuously optimise digital 
  marketing activities.

Public Relations & Media

• Build and maintain relationships with industry publications, journalists, influencers, 
  and media partners.
• Coordinate press releases, feature articles, media interviews, and speaking 
  opportunities for senior leadership.
• Assist in strengthening Cloudox's market presence through strategic PR initiatives.

Event Management

• Plan and deliver client-facing and industry events, including roundtables, networking 
  sessions, webinars, panel discussions, and conferences.
• Support Cloudox's participation in global events across London, New York, and 
  South Africa.
• Manage event logistics, promotion, and post-event reporting. 
  Stakeholder Collaboration & Internal Communications
• Partner with sales and technical teams to ensure alignment of messaging, 
  campaigns, and lead-generation initiatives.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to maintain consistency in global branding 
  and communications.
• Support internal communications initiatives where required.

Requirements 
Essential:

• Minimum of 5 years' marketing experience within financial services, hedge funds, 
  private equity, asset management, or alternative investment sectors.
• Strong understanding of the B2B buyer journey and financial services landscape.
• Demonstrated experience in content marketing, social media management, public 
  relations, event coordination, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify 
  complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities with excellent attention to 
  detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Based in Cape Town, with flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones.

Advantageous:

• Experience working with design, media, branding, or PR agencies.
• Knowledge of the hedge fund, alternative investment, or broader financial technology 
  sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Finance, Business, or a related 
  field.
