About the Role
Working closely with the Marketing Manager in a very busy, fast-paced environment, you'll champion Q Theatre's brand across multiple channels, manage ticketing operations, and support marketing activity of incoming arts clients.
You will be passionate about Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s arts and cultural scene and will bring care, efficiency, and a client-focused mindset to everything that you do. Ideally, you will have experience in marketing and ticketing within the arts, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Marketing Manager to deliver engaging marketing content at the venue as well as across online and digital platforms.
- Perform marketing administrative duties including managing Q website updates, organising venue and digital signage, plus assisting with e-newsletters, paid digital campaigns, and event listings.
- Manage ticketing operations efficiently, including collating assets from clients and liaising with our ticketing partner for event builds, monitoring ticket sales, offering ticketing advice to clients, running ticketing reports, and supporting the box office team, as needed.
- Respond to patron queries, providing outstanding customer service via box office, phone, and email.
- Build strong relationships with arts clients, artists, and partners, ensuring alignment across marketing and ticketing touchpoints.
About You
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with ticketing systems is highly desirable. If not, you must be a speedy learner as you will need to pick this up quickly.
- Extremely organised and highly productive, able to get work done quickly with great attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to swiftly pivot when things change to prioritise workload.
- Comfortable multi-tasking, able to cope with multiple deadlines and juggle conflicting priorities.
- Excellent communicator and a proactive, collaborative team player who thrives in a creative environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Suite skills and familiarity with digital marketing tools (CMS, CRM, Canva). Experience with Adobe Photoshop would be useful but isn't essential.
