Marketing Communication (MarCom) Intern

As a MarCom Intern, you will support the development and execution of marketing and communication activities to enhance the hotel's brand awareness, reputation, and business performance. You will gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media, digital marketing, promotional activities and events, while working closely with the Sales team and other hotel departments to deliver engaging and consistent brand communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation - Assist in creating engaging content, including photos, videos and copy, for hotel outlets including F&B, rooms and events. Support the preparation of artwork, flyers, social media collateral and internal communications in line with hotel and brand guidelines
• ·Digital Marketing & Social Media - Assist with the planning and execution of social media and digital marketing activities. Support the management and updating of the hotel's social media accounts, including responding to comments and messages where required. Assist in updating website and other online platforms
• Public Relations & Media Liaison - Assist in preparing content and materials for public relations activities, events and promotions. Support media-related activities and liaise with relevant internal teams when required
• Promotional Activities & Events - Assist in coordinating and executing hotel promotional activities, campaigns and events. Support the coordination of VIPs, media and other stakeholders during special events and promotions
• Analytics and Reporting - Assist in preparing weekly and monthly marketing and social media performance reports. Monitor social media performance, competitor activities and relevant industry trends
• Collaboration and Administration - Work closely with the Sales team, Front Office, Food & Beverage and other departments to support marketing activities. Assist with marketing calendars, purchase requests, filing and other marketing administration
• Learning & Development - Participate in marketing and communication projects to gain practical exposure to hotel marketing, digital communications, content creation and commercial activities
• Any other duties may be assigned by the Management from time to time.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Mass Communication, Hospitality, Business or any related field
• Are able to communicate in English, both verbal and written
• Have an interest in marketing, social media, content creation and communications
• Are creative and have an eye for engaging content and visual presentation
• Are familiar with social media platforms and basic content creation tools
• Are self-motivated, willing to learn and able to work independently
• Can multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Are organised, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Hospitality or Hotel Industry experience will be an added advantage

Your shift:

• Flexi Hours 08:00 – 17:00; 09:00 – 18:00; 10:00 – 19:00 (including 1 hour meal break)

Pay: From RM1,000.00 per month
