What they need
Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Guaranteed base salary plus benefits
Schedule: Monday to Friday
About the Role
Marketing starts with understanding people: what captures their attention, how brands communicate effectively and what turns awareness into action. It is about understanding audiences, communicating value and recognising what influences customer decisions.
We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator who is curious about consumer behaviour and interested in how brands grow. This entry-level opportunity offers practical experience supporting live campaigns, working directly with customers and learning how marketing contributes to commercial results. The role also involves understanding sales principles and how customer interactions can turn brand awareness into genuine interest and new business opportunities.
Marketing, But Hands-On
The role focuses on face-to-face marketing, brand representation and customer acquisition. Rather than concentrating on social media, graphic design, content creation or digital marketing, the position offers hands-on experience in communicating brand messages, engaging target audiences and supporting campaigns in a customer-facing environment.
Where You’ll Contribute
- Supporting live marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Communicating brand messages clearly and consistently.
- Helping increase brand awareness among target audiences.
- Engaging with customers to understand their interests and needs.
- Observing customer reactions and behaviour to identify what works.
- Gathering feedback and sharing useful campaign insights with the team.
- Supporting customer acquisition through positive customer interactions.
- Working with colleagues to improve campaign performance.
What Could Make You a Good Fit?
A marketing degree or previous marketing experience is not essential. Curiosity, communication skills and a willingness to learn are more important.
- Curiosity about people: An interest in consumer behaviour and purchasing decisions.
- Communication: The ability to explain ideas clearly and engage different audiences.
- Creative thinking: An open-minded approach to presenting information and starting conversations.
- Commercial awareness: An understanding of how marketing supports business growth.
- Observation and learning: The ability to listen, notice patterns and learn from feedback.
- Adaptability: Comfort working with different audiences and campaign priorities.
- Confidence: A professional approach to representing brands and presenting information.
- Interest in brands: Curiosity about brand positioning and what makes businesses stand out.
Build Your Marketing Toolkit
Through practical experience, training and ongoing feedback, you’ll develop an understanding of customer behaviour, brand positioning, campaign strategy, audience engagement and customer acquisition. You’ll also gain experience reviewing feedback and campaign outcomes to understand how marketing approaches can be improved.
Where Could It Lead?
With experience and strong performance, there may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including:
- Campaign coordination and planning.
- Supporting the training and development of team members.
- Greater client exposure and involvement in campaign delivery.
- Team leadership and wider operational responsibilities.
- Further progression based on individual development and performance.
The role offers a guaranteed base salary plus benefits, with additional bonus and incentive opportunities. Practical training, team activities and company events also provide opportunities to develop professionally and build working relationships.
