Marketing Intern

About the role

Max Outdoor Sdn Bhd is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our dynamic marketing and communications team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience in marketing communications whilst supporting our brand initiatives. Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote our outdoor products and services to our target audience.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital and traditional media
• Support the creation of marketing materials, including social media content, graphics, and promotional copy
• Conduct market research and analyse competitor activities to inform marketing strategies
• Help manage and update company social media accounts, including content scheduling and engagement monitoring
• Contribute to email marketing campaigns and help track their performance metrics
• Support event marketing activities and promotional initiatives
• Assist in maintaining marketing databases and organising campaign documentation
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and marketing solutions
• Monitor industry trends and provide insights to support marketing planning

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
• Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and social media platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas
• Keen interest in the outdoor industry or lifestyle sector is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive attitude towards learning and professional development
• Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial
