Part-Time Marketing Assistant (College Student) | Katie Johnson PLC + STR Law | Holland, MI

Want real marketing experience you can put in your portfolio, not just coffee runs? We're a growing Holland law firm and national legal education brand for Airbnb and short-term rental hosts, and we need a creative, organized marketing student to help us grow.

About us
Katie Johnson PLC is a boutique real estate and business law firm in downtown Holland. Our sister brand, STR Law (strlaw.com), sells attorney-drafted templates and legal training to short-term rental owners across the country. Our founder is an attorney and Airbnb Superhost since 2015, so we speak to hosts as operators first, without the legalese.

What you'll do

• Newsletter: Help write, design, and schedule our weekly email newsletter (an engaged list with 50%+ open rates)
• Ads support: Help set up, monitor, and report on Meta and LinkedIn ad campaigns, and suggest what to test next
• Social media: Brainstorm post ideas, create graphics and short videos in Canva, and help keep our Instagram and LinkedIn calendars full
• Content repurposing: Turn webinars, podcast episodes, and blog posts into emails, carousels, and reels
• Reporting: Track simple metrics (opens, clicks, reach, leads) and share what's working

You might be a great fit if you

• Are a current marketing, communications, or business student (juniors and seniors preferred)
• Know your way around Canva, Instagram, and LinkedIn
• Write clean, punchy copy and catch your own typos
• Have some exposure to Meta Ads Manager or email platforms like Kit (ConvertKit) (a plus, not required)
• Are self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable taking an idea and running with it

The details

• 10 to 15 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule
• Hybrid: some in-office time in downtown Holland, some remote
• Pay: $18 to $20 per hour
• Real portfolio pieces, hands-on ad experience, and a strong reference
• Room to grow into a larger role after graduation
