Marketing Intership

About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join the Vocational Education Training Academy team. This is a contract-based position based in Semenyih, Selangor, offering an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the marketing and communications field within the vocational education sector. As a Marketing Intern, you will work alongside our experienced marketing team to support the development and execution of marketing initiatives, contributing to the Academy's growth and visibility in the education market. This role will provide you with invaluable hands-on experience and insight into how marketing drives engagement within the educational institution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, social media, print and email
• Support the creation and editing of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, social media content and website updates
• Conduct market research and gather data to support marketing strategy and campaign planning
• Manage and update social media accounts, including posting content, responding to enquiries and monitoring engagement
• Support the organisation of promotional events, open days and other marketing activities
• Assist in the coordination of communications with prospective students, parents and other stakeholders
• Help monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
• Demonstrated interest in marketing, with knowledge of digital marketing trends and social media platforms
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh ideas for campaigns and content
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with social media management tools is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Enthusiasm for the vocational education sector and a commitment to supporting student recruitment and engagement
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and take direction from senior staff
