Marketing Journey Architect

Description -

Job Summary

The Journey Architect / Designer is responsible for blueprinting standardized, scalable customer journeys that translate go-to-market strategy into executable, multi-channel programs.

This role defines journey structures, builds reusable blueprints, and ensures consistent execution across markets—enabling a “design once, scale many” operating model.

Responsibilities

  • Define Customer Journeys with GTM marketing teams
Define end-to-end customer journeys across lifecycle stages (e.g., awareness, consideration, evaluation, decision, advocacy), including triggers, decision points, and progression logic.

    • Stage objectives and outcomes
    • Signals and trigger logic
    • Channel sequencing and touchpoints
    • Content and engagement requirements
  • Standardization & Reuse

  • Build and maintain a standardized journey framework and pattern library to enable repeatable deployment across markets and segments.

  • Signal-Driven Orchestration
Translate customer and business signals into if/then logic that drives journey activation, movement, and personalization.

  • Strategy to Execution Translation
Convert marketing and sales strategies into operational journey logic that can be implemented in marketing automation and CRM systems.

  • Governance & Quality
Define and enforce standards for journey design, data requirements, and QA to ensure consistency and scalability.
Drive adoption of standardized journeys and reduce one-off designs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with marketing, sales, data, and activation teams to align journeys with targeting, content, and execution requirements.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • (Advanced degree such as MBA is a plus)
  • 8–12+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Marketing operations or revenue operations
  • Demand generation, ABM, or digital marketing
  • Go-to-market strategy execution
  • Proven experience in:
  • Designing multi-touch, cross-channel customer journeys
  • Working with persona-based and account-based engagement models
  • Translating strategy into structured logic (decision trees, workflows, rules-based automation)
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Eloqua or similar)
