Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on B2B Marketing Manager for a six-month term either as a Contractor or Fixed Term Employee to keep the marketing function running effectively.

This is not a highly strategic appointment.  We need a capable, experienced operator who can quickly pick up an established workload, set priorities, keep projects moving and provide day-to-day leadership to a Marketing Executive direct report.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have previously operated at Marketing Manager level and be comfortable working across a broad range of B2B marketing activities.

They will be:

• Highly organised, able to multitask, prioritise and pivot as required.
• Strategic enough to understand the bigger picture, but very comfortable doing the hands-on work.
• Technologically savvy and resourceful, with the ability to learn systems quickly and figure things out independently.
• Confident enough to provide direction, contribute ideas and make practical decisions.
• Creative, commercially minded and solutions focused.
• A strong communicator and relationship builder.
• Comfortable guiding, supporting and developing a Marketing Executive.
• Strong across marketing fundamentals including brand guidelines, print terminology, logos, artwork, file types, collateral and digital content.

Key Workstreams

The role will take ownership of or coordinate:

• Wholesaler advertising, promotions and hospitality.
• Product marketing and market-ready launch activity for new products.
• Website maintenance, updates and additions.
• Wholesaler communications including pricing, product information and PIM data.
• Marketing planning, budget monitoring, rebates and associated reporting.
• Datasheet and catalogue maintenance.
• Marketing collateral planning and development.
• Leadership and prioritisation of work for the Marketing Executive.

Ideal Background

Essential:

• Previous Marketing Manager-level experience.
• Strong operational B2B marketing experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Experience leading or developing at least one marketing team member.
• Broad marketing capability across product, digital, print, collateral and brand.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.

Desirable:

• Manufacturing, distribution, industrial, electrical or technical product experience.
• Experience working with wholesalers or channel partners.

Systems/Software Experience

• MS Office
• Adobe Acrobat (any additional Adobe suite Software Photoshop/Indesign)
• Wordpress website
• Mailchimp
• Canva
• Social Media Platforms

Candidate Fit

We are looking for a safe pair of hands — someone who can come in, get up to speed quickly, work independently and keep things moving.

This would not suit someone stepping into a Marketing Manager role for the first time, nor someone looking for a predominantly strategic, social media or creative-only position.
