What they need
Are you a marketer who enjoys variety, takes pride in seeing ideas turn into real results, and knows how to keep a brand clear, consistent and commercially relevant?
Allco is looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to take ownership of the marketing function, lead the brand and help shape the next stage of growth. You’ll bring creativity, strong commercial judgement and the confidence to work with technical detail, while thriving in a collaborative and genuinely positive team environment.
The company
Allco is a New Zealand-owned and operated business working within the construction industry, specialising in waterproofing products and solutions - a critical and highly specialised part of the building process. While they have some of the best products and support, what sets Allco apart is the team.
They’ve built a culture that is supportive, open, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. People tend to stay here - a reflection of the strong relationships, shared values, and the way the team shows up for each other every day.
With ambitious growth ahead, including new products and opportunities in new markets, this is a great time to join Allco and be part of what comes next.
The Role
You’ll take over a well-established and well-documented marketing function that has been built from the ground up by the current Marketing Manager over nearly seven years.
Based on-site at Allco’s Albany head office and reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll manage one Marketing Coordinator and work closely with senior leadership, sales, technical and product teams.
This is a broad role with plenty of variety. One day you could be working on the annual marketing plan, the next you might be launching a new product, writing technical content, briefing a web developer, planning a CPD event or helping the sales team with new collateral.
You’ll work across audiences including architects, designers, engineers, contractors and applicators, so being able to turn technical or complex information into clear, engaging communication will be important.
Your responsibilities will span:
- Marketing Strategy, Planning & Insights: Develop and deliver Allco’s annual marketing strategy, activity plan and budget, while monitoring customer needs, competitor activity, market trends and campaign performance to support wider business decisions.
- Brand, Content & Communications: Lead the Allco brand across all channels and oversee website content, newsletters, articles, case studies, social media and wider communications, keeping messaging clear, accurate and commercially relevant.
- Product Marketing & Technical Content: Work with sales, product and technical teams on go-to-market plans, campaigns, sales tools and launches, while supporting technical credentials such as CodeMark, BRANZ Appraisals and EPDs.
- Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement: Manage the website, SEO, CRM, email marketing, automation and audience segmentation to strengthen customer engagement and support the sales funnel.
- Events, Sales Support & Suppliers: Deliver product launches, CPD events and industry activity, create sales and technical collateral, and manage external agencies, suppliers, promotional materials and branded assets.
- Team Leadership & Innovation: Lead and develop the Marketing Coordinator, while contributing to initiatives such as Allco’s internal AI knowledge centre, product samples and new supplier or material opportunities.
About you
You’ll be proactive, commercially minded and highly organised, with the ability to move easily between strategy and hands-on delivery. You’ll have strong writing skills, confidence working with technical information, and the ability to turn complex content into clear, engaging communication.
Ideally, you’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role within a technical, product-led or complex industry. You’ll be confident across digital marketing, websites, CRM, email marketing, social media and Canva, with experience supporting sales teams, managing campaigns and product launches.
You may already have some leadership experience under your belt, or be ready to take the next step into a formal leadership role.
Why this role?
This is your opportunity to step into an established marketing function with strong foundations, real ownership and plenty of variety. You’ll be joining a supportive team, working with a respected brand, and helping shape the next stage of growth across new products, new markets and new ideas.
If you enjoy being hands-on, working across the full marketing mix and seeing your work make a real impact on the wider business, we’d love to hear from you.
