What they need
Marketing Operations Program Manager
Description -
Role Summary
The Marketing Operations Program Manager is an individual contributor who drives the planning, governance, and cross-functional execution of packaging, new product introduction (NPI), and broader marketing operations programs. This role brings structure to complex work by defining scope, building integrated plans, creating visibility to status and risk, and ensuring teams deliver accurate, customer-ready outcomes. The role partners closely across WW Marketing—including Product Marketing and Packaging Strategy—HP Studio, CO/Category, Engineering, and Operations/Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Packaging Program Management
Lead end-to-end packaging programs across products, regions, and lifecycle stages—from intake and scope definition through artwork release, production readiness, launch, and transition.
Define program objectives, deliverables, ownership, dependencies, decision rights, and acceptance criteria with cross-functional stakeholders.
Build and manage integrated end-to-end timelines spanning packaging strategy and design development, customer research and validation, content and artwork execution, approvals, production readiness, and market launch.
Coordinate cross-functional reviews, approvals, change control, and handoffs to keep packaging deliverables moving through each phase of the lifecycle, while functional teams retain ownership of their respective deliverables and decisions.
Manage the critical path and resolve resource, timing, and dependency issues before they affect artwork release, production, or launch.
End-to-End Packaging Process Improvement
Simplify end-to-end packaging workflows by clarifying roles, handoffs, expectations, and decision rights to reduce cycle time and rework.
Drive CAS and related system accuracy through clear ownership, validation checkpoints, data discipline, and issue resolution.
Use operational data and root-cause analysis to identify systemic issues and lead scalable process improvements.
Portfolio Governance and Visual Management
Maintain a single, reliable portfolio view of milestones, risks, decisions, owners, budgets, and overall readiness across programs.
Develop practical dashboards and visual management tools that highlight priorities, bottlenecks, aging actions, and upcoming decisions.
Translate portfolio data into concise, decision-oriented updates and recommendations for stakeholders and leaders.
NPI and Product Marketing Planning
Own and coordinate the Product Marketing NPI planning framework across launches and lifecycle programs.
Partner with Product Marketing Managers to translate launch strategies into executable workstreams and aligned packaging and go-to-market requirements.
Operational Excellence and Budget Management
Manage budgets, forecasts, and actuals; surface variances early and support informed investment decisions.
Develop newsletters, portfolio updates, and leadership communications, and lead other priority marketing operations initiatives as needed.
Impact and Leadership Expectations
Operate independently across complex, high-impact programs with limited day-to-day direction.
Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, resolve competing priorities, and create alignment where requirements or ownership are unclear.
Anticipate issues, frame trade-offs and recommendations, and drive timely decisions.
Establish scalable standards and ways of working while remaining hands-on in execution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, operations, program management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Typically 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, program management, product operations, packaging, NPI, or a related discipline.
Proven ability to define ambiguous work, build integrated plans, establish governance, and drive execution across complex, cross-functional environments.
Strong understanding of packaging development and artwork workflows, product launches, lifecycle management, or similarly dependency-intensive processes.
Advanced skills in portfolio and risk management, executive communication, process improvement, change management, and visual reporting.
Strong financial acumen and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a global, matrixed technology, consumer products, hardware or retail environment.
Experience using packaging content, artwork, and workflow systems and databases such as PRISM, CAS, and Workfront, along with project management and visual reporting tools such as Smartsheet and think-cell.
Knowledge of packaging compliance, localization, supply chain, print production, and regional requirements.
Experience leading process transformation; relevant program management or continuous-improvement certification is a plus.
Salary
The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional
