Marketing Superintendent

About the Role

As the Marketing Superintendent, you will support the Company's business expansion and diversification initiatives through market research, business opportunity identification, business networking, and commercial analysis.

You will be involved in monitoring market developments and researching potential opportunities across various sectors, including commodities, plantation, property, maritime, mining, and other potential businesses.

Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager and Assistant Manager, you will collect and analyze market information, identify potential customers and business partners, and support the preparation of business opportunity assessments and recommendations for Management.

This position provides an opportunity to contribute directly to the Company's exploration of new business opportunities and potential growth areas.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct market research and data gathering related to potential industries, markets, customers, competitors, and business opportunities.
• Monitor industry developments, market trends, pricing, regulations, and other relevant information that may create potential business opportunities.
• Identify and compile information on potential customers, business partners, suppliers, investors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct preliminary research on potential business opportunities across commodity, plantation, property, maritime, transportation, mining, and other industries.
• Support the preparation of market research, business opportunity reviews, competitor analysis, and commercial presentations.
• Collect and organize relevant market and business data to support the assessment of potential opportunities.
• Maintain and update the business opportunity and prospect database/pipeline.
• Support business meetings, networking activities, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with potential customers, partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to collect information required for business opportunity assessments.
• Prepare periodic market intelligence updates and business opportunity reports for the Sales & Marketing Manager.
• Support the Sales & Marketing team in developing business proposals, presentations, and other commercial materials.
• Perform other duties related to business development and market intelligence as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in English (oral and written) is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in business development, sales & marketing, commercial, market research, corporate planning, or related functions.
• Experience in market research, business development, sales, commercial analysis, or related functions.
• Exposure to commodity, plantation, property, maritime, transportation & logistics, mining, energy, or other B2B industries is highly preferred.
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret market information.
• Good understanding of basic business and commercial concepts.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
• Proactive, curious, and interested in exploring new industries and business opportunities.
• Good presentation and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes as required.
