Marketing Technology Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and solutions-driven Marketing Technology Engineer to join our marketing technology team. This role will focus on developing, implementing and optimizing marketing automation solutions in Braze and across our connected tech stack Segment, Qualtrics, Sprig, and other internal tools.

• Collaborate with marketing teams, functional leads, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable marketing automation programs using Braze .
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end campaigns, including batch sends, triggered workflows, and lifecycle automations, from QA through deployment.
• Implement and optimize Canvas, Campaigns, and API-triggered programs to support behavioral and transactional use cases.
• Own segmentation strategy, hygiene, suppression logic, and complex audience builds to ensure accurate targeting and personalization.
• Write and optimize Liquid logic for dynamic content rendering across email, SMS, in-app, and push channels.
• Customize templates, content blocks, and reusable components within Braze .
• Build, maintain, and optimize survey programs in Qualtrics and Sprig , including NPS, CSAT, MSAT, and targeted feedback initiatives.
• Integrate survey triggers with Braze campaigns and customer journeys to enable closed-loop feedback and follow-up workflows.
• Partner with Product, CX, and Analytics teams to operationalize survey insights into lifecycle messaging and experience improvements.
• QA campaigns, templates, canvases, and surveys to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance.
• Execute A/B tests and continuous optimization across campaigns and workflows.
• Generate audience and campaign performance reports; analyze results and provide actionable insights to improve engagement and conversion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Liquid logic, campaign configuration, surveys, integrations, and data flows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, and internal governance standards.
• Stay current on MarTech platform features, best practices, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing marketing automation solutions using Braze or similar platforms.
• Deep expertise in segmentation, lifecycle orchestration, and personalization strategies.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and working knowledge of Python or Go for logic and integrations.
• Experience writing code-based personalization logic (e.g., Liquid).
• Familiarity with REST APIs and SDKs for web and mobile integrations.
• Experience building and managing surveys in Qualtrics and/or Sprig .
• Experience with CRM systems and integrating them with marketing automation tools.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign reporting, experimentation, and optimization.
• Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and marketing compliance best practices.
• Good communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Braze or other marketing automation platforms.
• Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Braze , Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sailthru or Iterable.
• Experience with Qualtrics , Sprig or other survey platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
