Markting Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and organised Marketing Assistant to join our in-house Marketing Team.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering social media, content creation, graphic design, video, print, point-of-sale, customer communications and general marketing activity across the business.

No two days are likely to be the same. You could be creating a social media reel, designing a promotional poster, helping to launch a new campaign, producing content for our website or working with colleagues across the business to find the next great story to share with our customers.

You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and wider team to help deliver our marketing strategy and ensure everything we produce reflects the Tates brand.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content

• Create and publish engaging content across our social media channels, including posts, reels, photography and video.
• Help manage the marketing and social media content schedule.
• Monitor our social media channels and respond to customer enquiries.
• Identify opportunities for interesting and engaging content from across the business.
• Create and edit basic video content for social media and YouTube using software such as CapCut or DaVinci Resolve.

Graphic Design & Print

• Produce graphics and digital advertising using software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Design posters, flyers, banners, magazine adverts and other printed marketing materials.
• Ensure marketing materials follow our company brand guidelines.
• Work with external printers and suppliers where required.

Marketing & Tates Rewards

• Assist with the creation and delivery of marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Help monitor marketing activity and campaign performance.
• Assist with creating and updating website content.
• Support the organisation and promotion of company events.
• Respond to customer emails, reviews and general marketing enquiries.
• Work with our Webmaster to help maintain our CRM database.
• Assist with the administration and promotion of the Tates Rewards loyalty programme.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues across the business to generate relevant content and marketing ideas.
• Support our relationships with customers, suppliers and the local community.

Point of Sale (POS)

• Design and produce attractive POS materials to support products, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
• Create branded POS templates for use across the business.
• Respond to internal POS requests from our sites and departments.
• Maintain and organise the central library of POS and marketing materials.

About You

We are looking for someone who is creative, confident and happy to get involved. You don't necessarily need years of marketing experience, but you should have a genuine interest in marketing and content creation and be comfortable learning new skills.

You will have:

• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• A creative eye for design and presentation.
• Experience with, or a good understanding of, social media platforms.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
• Basic video editing skills using CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
• Confidence creating content including photography, graphics and video.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• A friendly and professional approach to customers and colleagues.
• The ability to manage several different tasks and priorities.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Experience in a marketing role would be beneficial, but we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and a strong portfolio of relevant work.

Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
