Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mason to carry out masonry, civil maintenance, repair, and construction activities within a chemical manufacturing plant. The role involves maintaining plant buildings, production areas, warehouses, utility areas, foundations, floors, drainage structures, and other civil infrastructure while strictly following plant HSE requirements. Industrial maintenance roles typically emphasize preventive/corrective repairs and strict safety compliance. ‏

Key Responsibilities

• Perform brickwork, blockwork, plastering, screeding, concreting, and finishing works.
• Carry out floor and wall tiling, grouting, paving, and waterproofing repairs.
• Repair damaged walls, floors, foundations, concrete structures, drains, pathways, and plant buildings.
• Prepare and mix cement, mortar, concrete, and other construction materials according to requirements.
• Carry out civil maintenance and minor construction works in production, warehouse, utility, office, and plant areas.
• Perform concrete patching, crack repair, surface preparation, and structural finishing work.
• Read basic civil drawings, measurements, layouts, and work instructions.
• Use masonry hand tools, power tools, cutting machines, and concrete mixing equipment safely.
• Assist with installation and repair of kerbstones, manholes, drainage channels, equipment foundations, and other civil structures.
• Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Maintenance teams during plant maintenance activities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and materials are safely stored.
• Follow Permit-to-Work (PTW), PPE, HSE, fire-safety, and chemical-plant safety procedures, particularly when working near production or hazardous areas.
• Report unsafe conditions, structural damage, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mason, preferably in a chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial plant.
• ITI / Trade Certificate in Masonry or relevant vocational qualification preferred.
• Good experience in blockwork, plastering, concreting, tiling, screeding, grouting, and civil repair.
• Ability to understand basic civil drawings and measurements.
• Knowledge of industrial HSE and Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors and at heights when required.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the plant maintenance team. Indeed

Preferred: Candidates with previous experience in chemical/petrochemical manufacturing plants and hazardous industrial environments.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
