Mason – Salt Wall Installation

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the proper installation, alignment, finishing, and repair of salt walls using Himalayan salt bricks/blocks/tiles in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install Himalayan salt bricks, blocks, or tiles on walls according to approved drawings and required patterns.
• Measure, mark, level, and align the salt blocks accurately before and during installation.
• Prepare wall surfaces and supporting substrates prior to installation.
• Cut and shape salt blocks carefully to suit corners, edges, openings, and required dimensions.
• Apply approved adhesive, mortar, or fixing system suitable for salt-wall installation.
• Maintain consistent joints, spacing, alignment, and overall wall appearance.
• Install salt blocks around lighting systems, frames, or other decorative features where required.
• Coordinate with carpenters, electricians, and other trades when the salt wall includes framing or backlighting.
• Handle salt blocks carefully to prevent cracking, chipping, moisture exposure, or other damage.
• Carry out minor repairs, replacement, and finishing of damaged or improperly installed blocks.
• Keep the work area clean and protect completed salt-wall surfaces from damage.
• Follow approved method statements, project specifications, and supervisor instructions.
• Comply with site safety requirements, including proper use of PPE, tools, ladders, and access equipment.
• Report material shortages, damaged salt blocks, installation issues, or site conditions that may affect the work.
• Ensure completed installation meets required quality, level, alignment, and aesthetic standards.

Required Skills: Experience in masonry, tile/stone installation, accurate cutting and leveling, use of hand/power tools, and preferably previous experience with decorative stone or Himalayan salt-wall installation.

Pay: AED870.00 - AED3,900.00 per month
