Mason/Carpenter

Job Summary

The Mason / Carpenter is responsible for performing repair, maintenance, and improvement works within the resort property, including guest rooms, villas, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. The role ensures quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion of assigned tasks to support smooth resort operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform masonry and carpentry works including repairs, installation, and maintenance of resort facilities.
• Repair and maintain walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, furniture, cabinets, and other fixtures.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Perform minor construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
• Inspect facilities and identify repair requirements.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
• Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas.
• Coordinate with the Engineering team regarding maintenance requests.
• Respond to urgent repair concerns when needed.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical certification in Carpentry, Masonry, Construction, or related field is an advantage.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in masonry, carpentry, or building maintenance.
• Experience in hotel, resort, or commercial property maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in woodwork, concrete repair, tiling, painting, and general repairs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Physically fit and able to perform maintenance tasks.

Island Resort Requirements

• Willing to relocate and stay in an island resort location.
• Comfortable working in an island setup and adapting to limited availability of materials and resources.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
