Detroit Brick & Masonry is looking for motivated Masonry Apprentices to join our growing team. If you have experience in residential masonry restoration and are looking for a long-term career with opportunities to advance into a Lead Mason position, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As a Masonry Apprentice, you will work directly under a Lead Mason while developing the skills necessary to eventually run your own job sites. Your responsibilities include:

• Following directions from the Lead Mason.
• Assisting laborers when additional help is needed.
• Learning and mastering residential masonry restoration techniques.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and productive job site.

Required Experience

Applicants should be familiar with:

• Tuckpointing
• Cutting out and replacing miscellaneous brick
• Mixing mortar and concrete
• Assembling scaffolding
• Following instructions and working efficiently with a crew

Tool Proficiency

Candidates should be comfortable using:

• Gas saws
• Hammer drills
• Grinders
• Levels
• Basic hand tools
• Mortar and concrete mixers
• Scaffolding
• Ladders

Pay & Schedule

• $25.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
• 40–50 hours per week
• Full-time position
