Mason / Maintenance Person

Job Description

A luxury residential community in Nassau County is seeking a skilled and dependable Mason / Maintenance person to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry, building repairs, and general maintenance, along with the ability to perform a variety of interior and exterior repairs throughout the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform masonry repairs, including brickwork, mortar, concrete, pavers, and related projects.
• Complete general building maintenance and repairs.
• Perform interior repairs, including drywall patching, spackling, sanding, and painting.
• Perform exterior caulking, sealing, and painting
• Assist with roof patching, minor leak repairs, and repairs related to water intrusion.
• Conduct routine building inspections and identify maintenance issues requiring attention.
• Respond to maintenance requests and assist with larger projects and preventative maintenance.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and communicate effectively with the Maintenance Manager and team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in masonry as well as construction, or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of brickwork, concrete, mortar, and paver repairs.
• Hands-on experience with painting, spackling, drywall repairs, and general handyman tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work respectfully in a luxury residential community.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying materials.

Position Details

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, flexible schedule, some weekends and holidays

We are looking for a versatile, hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and can help the maintenance team complete a wide range of repairs in-house.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
