We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Masonry Worker/Chimney Sweep to join our dynamic construction team. Hours of work per day vary based on jobs keep in mind if we finish a job early you will still be paid for the full day

Duties

• Construct, repair, and restore chimneys, fireplaces, walls, and other masonry structures using concrete forming techniques and various hand and power tools
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and ensure precise execution
• Install rebar reinforcement for structural integrity in concrete projects and perform concrete finishing with skillful hand tools
• Apply plastering, stucco, caulking, and trim carpentry techniques to enhance aesthetic appeal and durability of masonry work
• Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation or material transportation as needed on construction sites
• Estimate construction costs by assessing project scope and materials required; assist in construction estimating processes
• Perform metal stud framing, tile laying, roofing support tasks, and other renovation or restoration activities to complete comprehensive projects
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment at all times

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on masonry or related trades such as carpentry or roofing
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings relevant to masonry projects
• Hands-on experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, and metal stud framing
• Skilled in operating hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and heavy equipment used in construction settings
• Knowledge of construction estimating procedures and ability to assess project requirements accurately
• Experience working on renovation or restoration projects that require precision craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while maintaining high standards of quality
