Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals
• Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care strategies to support ongoing wellness
• Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information using appropriate medical terminology
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols such as CPR certification requirements
• Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, provide recommendations, and foster a trusting relationship
• Stay current with industry trends and expand your skill set through continued education in areas like physiology knowledge, pain management experience, and med spa practices

Requirements

• Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state or local regulations
• Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and develop effective treatment plans
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients
• Ability to perform massages safely while maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment start date
• Prior experience working in a med spa or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for continuous learning is essential
