Duties

• Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and cutting services using advanced techniques such as balayage, highlights, and precision cuts
• Perform hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and threading to enhance clients’ natural beauty
• Deliver professional makeup applications for special occasions or everyday looks
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each client
• Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking
• Offer personalized hair care consultations based on clients’ hair types and preferences
• Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and hair treatments to boost sales and client satisfaction
• Mentor junior staff members in technical skills and customer service excellence
• Manage front desk responsibilities including client check-in/out and appointment confirmations
• Stay current with industry trends in hair coloring, barbering (including straight razor techniques), and nail care to provide innovative services

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hairstyling, coloring, and grooming services
• Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering from an accredited program; additional specialization in makeup application or nail care is a plus
• Familiarity with salon management tools such as MINDBODY or other salon software platforms
• Knowledge of color theory to create customized color solutions for diverse client needs
• Skilled in sanitation practices adhering to health regulations and safety standards
• Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and service recommendations
• Experience in retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism

Pay: $2,508.03 - $3,020.42 per week
