Master Craftsman

Job Purpose:

The Master Craftsman is responsible for the precise milling, assembly, and finishing of stair parts, shelving, beams, and other high-end products using high-quality flooring materials. The Master Craftsman can craft all products offered. This role demands a blend of advanced technical skills in woodworking and an understanding of manufacturing processes, requiring both independence and teamwork.

Essential Functions:

• Must have completed mastery of Advanced Craftsman requirements.
• Mill, assemble and finish advanced wood stair products like stair treads, starter steps, and landings.
• Create one-of-a-kind wood products from CAD drawings.
• Safely operate power equipment like table saws, miter saws, and CNC machines.
• Read production schematics and CAD drawings for advanced wood products.
• Maintain and repair CNC machines and power saws as needed.
• Create simple CAD drawings for products.
• Forklift operation

• CAD – Ability to use software to create, modify, and optimize precise technical drawings or 3D models for engineering, architecture, and manufacturing.

Education – High school or equivalent GED preferred

Experience – FloorMade Advanced Craftsman experience or real-world equivalent is necessary.
