Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs on diesel engines, powertrains, transmissions, and mechanical systems with precision and efficiency.
• Service vehicle components such as brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, tires, and wheel alignments to ensure safety and optimal handling.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to execute repairs effectively.
• Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems and auto body components while adhering to safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, vehicle inspections, fluid replacements, and preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret schematics for complex repairs involving automotive suspension systems, air brakes (heavy equipment mechanics), ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other specialized systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed in compliance with industry standards.
• Stay current with industry trends such as GM vehicle protocols or new automotive technologies to enhance repair capabilities.

Experience

• Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in an automotive repair shop is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and schematics.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engine repair, powertrain systems, transmissions, and suspension systems.
• Hands-on experience working with ADAS technology, air brake systems (heavy equipment), tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and alignment procedures.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair devices.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems alongside auto body repair skills is preferred.
• Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
