Maybe you’re already doing high-end remodeling work, but you’re also chasing leads, bidding jobs, selling projects, ordering materials, dealing with clients, collecting money and trying to figure out where the next job is coming from.

Or maybe you’re already making $38–$42 an hour, doing great work and carrying a lot of responsibility, but you’ve hit a ceiling and you’re ready to step into a true lead role.

We’re looking for both.

America’s Construction Experts is hiring an extremely well-rounded remodeling carpenter whose primary responsibility is simple: Deliver a High-End Finished Project.

We handle the advertising, lead generation, estimates, sales, scheduling and client acquisition. Come to work, take care of the client, build something you’re proud of and go home. At $45–$55 per hour, we’re looking for somebody who has earned it.

Bathrooms are a major part of our business. A complete gut remodel should be comfortably within your wheelhouse, from demolition and framing through waterproofing, tile, drywall, flooring, vanities, toilets, trim, doors, hardware and final installation.

Experience with WEDI, Schluter or another professional waterproofing system is required.

Kitchens demand the same versatility. Cabinet installation, finish carpentry, flooring, drywall, painting, doors, hardware and light framing should all be familiar territory.

Basement projects can start as an unfinished space and end with completed walls, doors, trim, flooring, paint and finish work.

Depending on the project, the week could also include windows, exterior doors, decks, exterior carpentry or other residential improvements. We don’t expect one person to replace every licensed trade. Electrical, plumbing and other specialty work is handled by the appropriate tradespeople.

What we do expect is enough residential remodeling experience to understand the entire project, work independently, solve problems and know what excellent finished work looks like.

Our lead craftsmen have averaged roughly eight years with us, with our longest tenure reaching 13 years. Three of our four longtime leads retired in late 2024, and we’re looking for the next highly skilled craftsman who wants that kind of long-term opportunity.

What We Offer:
$45–$55 per hour based on experience and ability
40 hours per week
Steady residential remodeling work
Christmas and New Year’s week off
Potential year-end bonus based on company and individual performance

Most projects are throughout Lake, Porter and LaPorte Counties. This is not an entry-level position or a single-trade position. If you’re ready to make $45–$55 an hour doing the work you’re great at without sacrificing 60 or 70 hours of your life every week to do it, we’d like to talk to you.
