Mastercam Programmer

Role Summary

Experienced CNC/VMC Programmer with 4+ years of hands-on expertise in programming on MASTRCAM Software, setting, and optimizing machining operations on CNC and VMC machines. Skilled in developing efficient machining strategies, reducing cycle time, and ensuring high-quality production as per engineering specifications.

Core Responsibilities :-

• CNC Programming & CAM

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code. Create toolpaths using CAM software such as Mastercam. Interpret 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for machining operations. Perform multi-axis programming and ensure error-free simulation before execution.

• Machine Setup & Operation

Set up jobs independently including fixture alignment, work offsets, and tool setting. Select appropriate cutting tools and optimize machining parameters. Handle different materials like MS, SS, Aluminum, Brass, and Cast Iron.

• Process Optimization & Productivity

Analyze machining processes to reduce cycle time and increase output. Implement Kaizen and Lean techniques. Reduce tool wear and scrap through optimization.

• Quality Assurance

Ensure components meet drawing tolerances and GD&T standards. Use measuring instruments and perform inspections. Troubleshoot dimensional errors and correct programs

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance Support

Diagnose CNC machine alarms and coordinate with maintenance teams. Ensure minimal downtime and proper machine utilization.

• Documentation & Reporting

Prepare setup sheets, tool lists, and maintain program records. Report production status and analyze rejections.

• Team Collaboration & Leadership

Train operators, coordinate with teams, and ensure safety compliance

Technical Skills :-

CNC Programming, CAD/CAM (Mastercam, SolidWorks), VMC/HMC machines, tooling knowledge, GD&T, Lean Manufacturing.
