Mat Pilates Instructor

Camp Berryessa is looking for an energetic, personable, and experienced Mat Pilates Instructor to lead our new Mat Pilates specialty program.

We’re looking for someone who can create an engaging and welcoming class experience while helping members improve core strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, and overall movement quality.

This is a great opportunity for an instructor looking to build a consistent class following and grow a program within an established fitness community.

What You'll Do

Lead engaging Mat Pilates classes for a variety of fitness levels

Provide modifications and progressions based on participant ability
Demonstrate proper form, alignment, breathing, and technique
Create structured and effective class programming
Build relationships with participants and help create a strong community around the program
Encourage members to return and participate consistently
Help promote the program through social media and in-gym content
Be comfortable appearing on camera occasionally to promote classes, upcoming sessions, and the program
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional class environment

What We're Looking For

Mat Pilates certification from a recognized program

Previous experience teaching Mat Pilates preferred
Strong communication and group instruction skills
High-energy, positive, and personable coaching style
Comfortable working with participants of different fitness and experience levels
Reliable and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
Comfortable being featured in occasional social media content
Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping people reach their goals

Schedule

We are initially looking to offer the program 2x per week:

• Sunday – time TBD
• One additional weekday – day/time TBD

There may be opportunities to add additional classes as the program grows.

Compensation

Competitive specialty-program compensation based on experience, with the opportunity to earn more as class participation grows.

Our goal is to create a program where instructors are rewarded for building a strong, consistent following.

Camp Berryessa is a community-focused fitness facility serving the Berryessa / North San Jose area. In addition to our group fitness program, we're expanding our specialty offerings to give members more ways to train, move, and reach their goals.
