Vitality Haus is a movement and wellness studio opening in Asbury Park, NJ in January 2027, offering Yoga, Mat Pilates, Barre, and Strength classes. We're built around intentionality and community, helping members build healthy habits for both body and mind.

We’re looking for instructors who will help bring our mission and vision to life by delivering exceptional classes, building genuine relationships with members and contributing to a warm, community-driven studio experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for instructors who will help bring our mission and vision to life by delivering exceptional classes, building genuine relationships with members and contributing to a supportive, community-driven studio experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CLASS DELIVERY

• Teach small-group mat Pilates classes with safe, encouraging, and inclusive instruction.
• Adapt sequences for students of all levels and needs.
• Create and deliver exceptional mat Pilates classes within Vitality Haus framework.
• Adhere to the start and end times, intensity, and description of each class or session, based on the class schedule and the varying levels of participants in the room.
• Commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule and follow the studio’s established substitute-coverage process when needed.

MEMBER EXPERIENCE

• Build rapport with members, know their individual needs and goals, and greet every member by name.
• Arrive 15 minutes before each class or session and stay 15 minutes after. Use that time to educate prospective and new members on our formats and offerings, help current members book additional classes and packages, and engage every member with our studio's systems.
• Support studio marketing, community events and member-retention initiatives when appropriate.

STUDIO & TEAM

• Contribute to the integrative and community-oriented studio culture.
• Leave the studio and equipment clean and tidy after every class or session.
• Work directly with Management, communicating feedback, maintenance issues, substitution changes and requests, and scheduling.
• Attend mandatory meetings with Management.

For experienced instructors:

• Experienced applicants may also be considered for a Lead Instructor role, with additional responsibilities supporting instructor development and maintaining teaching standards
• Mat Pilates Leadership Program:

Help develop and document the Vitality Haus Mat Pilates format, class standards and programming framework.

Support the audition, onboarding and development of Mat Pilates instructors.

Mentor instructors and provide thoughtful, actionable feedback.

Conduct regular class observations to support consistency and quality.

Help plan Mat Pilates workshops, special events and continuing education.

Partner with management on scheduling, equipment needs and program development.

Help create Mat Pilates workshops, special events and continuing-education opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are open to both emerging and growing/established instructors:

• New Instructors:
• Recognized Mat Pilates instructor certification; newly certified or early-career; coachable, dependable and eager to develop their teaching skills.
• In-person audition required
• Experienced Instructors:
• Recognized Mat Pilates Certification; Comprehensive Pilates Certification (Mat + Equipment) is a plus
• 200+ hours of teaching experience (yoga or barre experience a plus)
• Confident leading group classes with interest in workshops or mentoring
• Professional, reliable, and passionate about wellness
• In-person audition required
