Material Analyst

We’re looking to add a Material Analyst in Bayan Lepas plant.

As a Material Analyst, You will:

• To monitor, maintain and responsible for database integrity within his/her assigned area of responsibility.
• Monthly verification and update Info record (IR) and Material Master (MM) in SAP.
• Monthly verification and update vendor classification in SAP.
• To coordinate and / or generate report concerning localization and cost saving related projects.
• To update strategic and turnkey materials lists and presentation slides according to product line on half yearly basis.
• To identity potential localization and reduction materials.
• To perform Lead Time profiling for all parts on quarterly basis.
• To facilitate transfer/NPI projects.
• To complete Material Master (MM) and Material Part Number (MPN) template for Engineering Change Notification which related to transfer projects.
• To direct and / or secure and analyze price quotations from vendors and suppliers.
• To maintain awareness of market conditions concerning possible shortages, extended lead times, possible price increase, etc.
• To prepare, propose, monitor Safety Stock in monthly basis.
• Performs Request For Quotation (RFQ) activity with related suppliers on production required materials.
• To engage with vendors and sourcing personnel on cost reduction activities. Participates Cost Commit Activity set by related Programs (Quarterly / Half-Yearly).
• To monitor reference price (Half yearly cost commit price) uploaded on half yearly basis.
• Implement pricing negotiation activity with suppliers to get the lowest price with optimum Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) based on current forecast.
• Reviews engineering change to get RFQ from suppliers on related materials.
• Compiles quotation and updates Info Record Source List (IRSL) and Material Master (MM) in system.
• Support NPI Material Readiness in terms of IRSL and MM updates.

What skills and experiences are we looking:

• Degree Holder/Diploma holder with minimum 2 years service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience.

• Good writing and verbal communication abilities are required including 1 year in direct procurement contract negotiation activities
