Material Control Section Manager

What you will do

1. Coordinate to ensure vendor schedules are generated in a timely manner from all vendor schedulers to optimize efficiencies in production and transportation.
   2. Monitor, track and report on vendor compliance to delivery due dates. Identify risks to late delivery, handle escalations with vendors according to the business procedure.
2. Collaborate with Product Management, Supply Planning Manager and Engineering in new product introductions and planning of product discontinuations in order to minimize obsolescence and maximize customer’s delivery expectations.
3. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate speedy and accurate parts availability to meet customer demands.
4. Collaborate with Procurement and Procurement Commodity Managers to ensure components and raw materials are sourced from approved vendors, and participate on new vendor selections.
   6. Collaborate with Procurement to support Material Cost Reduction goals for Purchased Parts.
   7. Establish and maintain replenishment signals to assure a smooth flow of materials to the Manufacturing floor and enable Operational efficiency.
   8. Manage daily support of production needs such as expediting material, setting priorities, and addressing supply issues.
   9. Establish and manage consignment programs for materials and blanket purchasing agreements for commodity items.
   10. Support activities from department to ensure on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, Days Inventory On Hand and transportation execution are met while maximizing quality and minimizing cost.
   11. Maintain effective working relationship and communication with all departments.
   12. Operate within budget and contribute to the overall reduction of overhead and expenses.

What we look for

1. Bachelor's Degree in related fields
2. 2 to 4 years in scheduling or materials experience in purchasing or logistics in a manufacturing environment
3. Mechanical and analytical ability is a must
4. Ability to analyse and interpret complex technical procedures, business periodicals, and journals as well as report preparations and procedure development
5. Business transformation and/or process re-engineer/simplifications is a plus
6. Experience with inventory forecasting, developing vendor schedules, implementing inventory reduction programs and reducing scheduling variances is preferred
7. Demonstrable business management skills in manufacturing operations environment
8. Technically savvy, able to envision creative tools to gain business/operational improvement
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required
10. Extended knowledge to ERPs & MRP (SAP)
11. Good command of English language
