Material controller

Role Summary

Responsible for securing the supply of parts in a timely and cost efficient manner to satisfy customer service, specified inventory and quality levels. It is the first point of contact for resolution of issues to ensure continual flow of material into the business. The role will communicate the status of materials within the total supply chain to the wider business

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage the day to day relationship, including visiting sites when required, with the vendors to ensure process adherence and that supply chain signals are implemented and acted upon.

· Build long term rapport with vendors to resolve delivery performance issues and influence delivery to meet customer demand, working with the supply chain to improve performance within the established framework and guidelines.

· Report vendor performance internally in line with company procedure and provide data input into business reviews to ensure current is available for decision to be made.

· Adhere to all policies and regulations in relation to product sourcing, governed either by legislation, customer specific / contractual requirements or company policies to ensure compliance.

• Proactively obtain and update signals and information into and from the supplier to provide accurate delivery data to the customer at all times.

· To analyse supplier arrears and forward load to effectively work with the supply base to manage load to meet customer requirements.

· Participation in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance.

· Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.

· Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18,000.00 - $20,000.00 per month
