Material Engineer (1 Year Contract)

Job Summary

• Review the standards/specification requirement to supply the correct and conformed materials to customer requirements.
• Review the incoming material's mill certificates for the conformance of specification, standards and/or our requirement.
• Provide advice/solutions to customer's enquiries during order stage & after sales.
• Review the order acknowledge/confirmation/quotation by vendor in accordance with our PO requirements.
• Monitor the status of revision of specification and/or standards, update, review and analyses the impact of changes to current practice and/or materials of company.
• Identify testing required to fulfil any standards or specification requirements.
• Monitor the incoming materials lot and arrange periodical inspection in accordance with inspection plan.
• Data collection & analysis of materials properties of stocking materials for failure analysis.
• Collect data to support development for AI based review software
• Existing process flow to be reviewed and simplified.

Key responsibilities

• Review MTR
• Review pre arrival stock report
• Arrange incoming material testing for SRS QA35
• Supplier order acknowledgement and order confirmation review
• Alien material – material number input to purchase department
• Conflict mineral (CMRT) report submit to customer upon request
• Review and file MTR, test report and HT reports
• Annual and ad hoc review of all international standards
• Annual and ad hoc review of customer specifications
• Review MTR to advice on sales inquiry and during contract review after PO

Qualification/Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Material Science
• Willing to work in fast pace environment
• Entry level candidates welcome to apply
• SAP knowledge will be an advantage
• Able to start work immediately will be an advantage
