Material Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Material Engineer with approximately 10 years of relevant experience in construction materials, Road works, concrete, and asphalt. The successful candidate will be responsible for material testing, quality control, laboratory coordination, and ensuring that construction materials comply with applicable project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise physical and chemical testing of construction materials.
• Perform testing and quality evaluation of:
• Soil and subgrade materials
• Aggregates
• Bitumen and bituminous materials
• Concrete and related materials
• Monitor the quality of materials used in road and infrastructure works.
• Assist with concrete mix design and asphalt mix design as required.
• Review laboratory test results and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure material testing is carried out in accordance with relevant IS, IRC, ASTM, or project specifications, as applicable.
• Coordinate with site teams, laboratories, consultants, and quality-control personnel.
• Maintain proper records of test results, material approvals, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
• Identify material-related quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Supervise laboratory technicians and ensure testing procedures are followed correctly.
• Support site quality-control activities and material inspection processes.
• Ensure that testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and used according to established procedures.
• Participate in material trials, field testing, and quality investigations when required.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in material testing and quality control, preferably in road, highway, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong practical knowledge of soil, aggregates, bitumen, concrete, and asphalt materials.
• Experience with laboratory and field testing procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant IS/IRC/ASTM standards and testing methods.
• Experience in concrete and asphalt mix design will be an advantage.
• Ability to interpret laboratory test results and prepare technical documentation.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with site and laboratory teams.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
