Material Handler - 2nd shift

What You'll Do: Material Handlers are responsible for supplying workstations and material racks with the proper materials, supplies, and component parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operate equipment such as an industrial forklift, tugger and electric pallet stacker. In addition, Material Handlers transport finished goods and scrap to designated areas while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Skills/Competencies:

• Ability to pass the necessary testing for equipment licenses (lift truck license and/or tugger license).
• Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provide for individual growth.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Familiar with FIFO (First In – First Out) protocols
• Ability to use various types of tools (manual, electric, pneumatic, etc.)
• Demonstrated knowledge of PPE and Safety Systems
• Demonstrated sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
• Awareness level Lock Out/Tag Out process knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of resins, materials and packaging products.
• Knowledge of lot control & lot control processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of operating an industrial forklift in a production manufacturing facility.
