Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Material Handler – Full Time
Monday – Thursday: 4:15pm-2:45am
Rate of Pay: $24.49 (includes shift differential)

The Watkins Company has an opening for a Full Time Material Handler located in our Winona, MN location. The duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads trailers.
• Utilizes the inventory system and maintains all record keeping required. Monitors and understands the Bill of Materials, opening/closing of jobs and material transfers, and the shipping/receiving process.
• Utilizes and processes all documents effecting inventory such as shipping orders, receiving tickets, reworks, warehouse replenishments, adjustments, stock status reports, etc.
• Arranges inventory in an orderly and logical manner and physically moves or re-arranges it as required.
• Performs cycle counts as required.
• Transports and transfers raw/finishing materials and finished goods utilizing material handling equipment and elevators.
• Ensures accurate reporting of raw/finishing materials and finished goods while following procedural requirements.
• Sets up production lines with the appropriate raw/finishing materials and finished goods by article number, control number, and quantity.
• Provides backup for other manufacturing positions as needed.

Our ideal candidate will have at minimum:

• Possess a High School Diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Previous Material Handling experience working with operating equipment and inventory computer programs – preferred.
• Must have satisfactory results from flexibility and strength assessment examination.
• Demonstrate basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
