Material Handler- 2nd Shift

Job Title: Material Handler

Reports to: Director of Operations

Job Description:

Merlin Mold & Manufacturing is looking for a reliable and flexible Material Handler to assist in daily production needs. Consistent attendance is a must! Merlin expects the Material Handler to be able to work by oneself to achieve a natural cadence so that production needs are ALWAYS met. Most days this is a position where you are required to be self-sufficient with the delivery of materials, packaging, and distribution of other required tasks, such as Operator breaks or daily meetings, which must be worked into daily cadence. On some occasions a second person may be available to assist in required tasks but should not be relied upon as constant assistance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Consistently supply materials, components, and packaging to machines to minimize disruption in production flow.

· Consistently transport plastic resins from WIP area to machines in a timely manner to avoid disruptions in production.

· Proper mixing of materials, colors, and/or regrind with no error to ratio standards.

· Daily performance of material testing, such as moisture content testing to ensure quality and preparedness for production needs.

· Keeping up with flow of material loading into dryer and hopper bins as required.

· Consistent and efficient cleaning of dryers, hoppers, filtration systems, and system hoses as well as transport bins.

· Documentation of all cleaning required

· Assisting floor supervisor with operator breaks/lunches by running plastic injection machines.

· Material use documentation required as well.

Minimum Qualifications:

· The ability to lift and carry 50-75 pounds daily with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to climb and maneuver around machines to clean hopper vacuum systems.

· Time management and cadence planning experience

· Basic understanding of addition, subtraction, and percentages/ratios.

· Self-awareness experience

· Warehouse experience 1 year

Success Factors

· Material handlers experience 1 year

· Plastic injection experience

· Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

· Expected Hours: 45-60 hours per week

· 10-hour shift Mandatory

· Monday through Friday

· Saturdays until further notice
