Material Handler & Driver

We are seeking a reliable, versatile, and team-oriented Material Handler & Driver to join our production and logistics team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for moving raw materials and finished goods between facilities, delivering products to customers, and safely loading and unloading shipments. Additionally, you will support our shop operations by learning basic metal finishing and machine assistance duties.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Logistics & Delivery

• Transport raw materials and finished goods safely between company facilities.
• Deliver finished products directly to local customer locations in a timely, professional manner.
• Pick up raw materials from suppliers or vendors as needed.
• Properly package, strap, palletize, and secure all products to ensure safe transit.

Warehouse & Material Handling

• Safely load and unload incoming/outgoing shipments and freight trucks using a forklift.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders/packing slips for accuracy and report damage.
• Organize raw materials and work-in-progress inventory in designated shop areas.

Production & Shop Support (Cross-Training Provided)

• Receive hands-on training to clean, deburr, and prep metal components for secondary processing.
• Train on and operate a band saw for cutting metal stock and materials to specified dimensions.
• Assist senior machine operators with press brake setup, material handling, and part loading.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with shop safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Forklift certification or prior experience operating a forklift preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail when staging, packaging, and securing heavy shipments.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn shop processes and equipment operations.
• Good communication and customer service skills when delivering to client sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
